![]() But there was no fun with spamming skills. After a while they made some changes and you could have permanent fetishes = fun.Īfter that they released Necro for D3 and he couldn’t have a full permanent armada. When they released D3 with Witch Doctor there wasn’t this possibility in vanilla. The best thing about D2 Necro was that you could have this big armada of undead. You need to spam skills to retain the full armada. I get it but it reminds me problem with Necromancer’s summoning skills in D3 and now in Immortal: You should switch every few seconds because you made a build where that is advantageous, and not because it is impossible to stay in any form for longer than that. It just shouldnt be at the expense of the perma-form builds. This even might be what Blizzard is going for with the current D4 druid. I kinda liked that about some WoW druid builds, giving a few benefits for jumping between forms. Like picking talents and skill modifications that results in switching from bear to wolf => dmg buff for some seconds, switch from wolf to human => mana regen buff for a few seconds, etc. It should be a viable build choice to make a druid that swifts in and out of all forms, and gets various bonuses for doing so, despite having not focused their build on anything. If you shift into a form in the middle of nowhere with no targets to give you stacks, you would lose the form quickly.Īnother, somewhat unrelated thing, I would love if one druid path you can take is not merely to go “bear”, “wolf” or “caster”. So if you attack for a while, it means you can keep the form for a while after you stop attacking. Having to constantly attack, to make it seem like you dont change form, is just weird though, and doesnt seem like it will be fun gameplay in the long run.Īnother way could maybe be each time you deal damage in a form you get a buff that stacks. The idea that you have to do something to keep your shapeshift form seems “immersive” in a way. Just that I think an interesting class could be made out of such a design. Yeah, not saying it is necessarily the druid design I would prefer. ![]()
